Donated books, delivered to the communities that need them.

DEAL is a youth-led nonprofit that collects, organizes, and distributes donated books and educational materials to communities that lack access to them.

How a book drive works

From the first phone call to the last box delivered, every drive follows the same five steps.

  1. Call

Every drive starts with a call to a community, school, or organization that needs books.

  2. Coordinate

We plan the collection and the delivery with the receiving partner.

  3. Collect

Drives gather donated books, textbooks, and educational materials from schools, families, and community partners.

  4. Organize

Every donation is sorted by age range, subject, and condition.

  5. Donate

Sorted books go to tribal communities, schools, hospitals, and literacy organizations across the U.S. and abroad.
